Declarations of our Standing with God.
Declare these Biblical Truths for Yourself and Others:
The words that come out of our mouths have power. Make no mistake, this power comes from God, not from within us. But God has ordained that words can have great effect. This gives us an amazing opportunity. To speak God-breathed words of life. To believe them and to claim the promises of scripture. As the bible itself states:
1 Peter 2:9 CSB – But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
2 Timothy 3:16 CSB – All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness.
Declare these out loud daily and let the truth of each scripture verse sink in. They will bring you to a closer realization of how much He cares for you. You’ll gain a better understanding of your position and worth in Christ. When you actively choose to believe these truths, they can heal your soul and body.
1. God Chose Me (Ephesians 1:4,5)
Think of it! God Himself chose to bring me into existence. He wants me! Ponder it and believe it. Following each declaration are the scriptural foundations for each declaration.
Ephesians 1:4-5 CSB – [4] For he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in love before him. [5] He predestined us to be adopted as sons through Jesus Christ for himself, according to the good pleasure of his will.
2. God Loves Me (Romans 5:8, Romans 8:38,39)
His love for me is immense. His perfect love drives out the fears that are deep down inside of me. If I let it sink in and take root in my life, fear will have to flee. Keep it up, fear will fully depart from my life. I will eventually know in the depth of my being that I am secure in God’s love.
Romans 5:8 CSB – [8] But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 8:38-39 CSB – [38] For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, [39] nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
3. I love myself (Psalm 139)
It’s important for me to love myself. I can’t be a truly healthy person unless I do so. Think about it, God is in love with me. It would be wrong to think contrary to that. Therefore the conclusion is, “I choose to love myself.
(Treat yourself to an ice cream while you’re at it!)
Psalm 139: 1,2,5,10,13,14,16,17 CSB –
[1] LORD, you have searched me and known me.
[2] You know when I sit down and when I stand up; you understand my thoughts from far away.
[5] You have encircled me; you have placed your hand on me.
[10] (wherever I am) even there your hand will lead me; your right hand will hold on to me.
[13] For it was you who created my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
[14] I will praise you because I have been remarkably and wondrously made. Your works are wondrous, and I know this very well.
[16] Your eyes saw me when I was formless; all my days were written in your book and planned before a single one of them began.
[17] God, how precious your thoughts are to me; how vast their sum is!
4. God Will Use Me (Ephesians 2:10)
God has a purpose and plan for my life. Only I am uniquely suited to fulfill what He wants to do through me. Believe it to be true. Lord I ask You to show the way.
Ephesians 2:10 CSB – [10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.
