TRUST AFFIRMATIONS

Trusting in God

A. I do NOT fear man, darkness, or random events. God Himself controls everything. God is love and He takes care of me.

Hebrews 13:6 CSB
[6] Therefore, we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Proverbs 29:25 CSB
[25] The fear of mankind is a snare, but the one who trusts in the LORD is protected.

2 Timothy 1:7 CSB
[7] For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and sound judgment.

1 John 4:18 CSB
[18] There is no fear in love; instead, perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. So the one who fears is not complete in love.

Psalm 66:7 CSB
[7] He rules forever by his might; he keeps his eye on the nations. The rebellious should not exalt themselves.

Philippians 4:6-7 CSB
[6] Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. [7] And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

1 John 4:16 CSB
[16] And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.

Psalm 23:1 CSB
[1] The LORD is my shepherd; I have what I need.

John 10:11 CSB
[11] I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

B. I am
in the shelter
of the Lord

Psalm 91:1 CSB
[1] The one who lives under the protection of the Most High dwells in the shadow of the Almighty.

Matthew 11:28-29 CSB
[28] “Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. [29] Take up my yoke and learn from me, because I am lowly and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

1 Peter 5:7-9 CSB
[7] casting all your cares on him, because he cares about you. [8] Be sober-minded, be alert. Your adversary the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour. [9] Resist him, firm in the faith, knowing that the same kind of sufferings are being experienced by your fellow believers throughout the world.

Psalm 57:1-3 CSB
[1] Be gracious to me, God, be gracious to me, for I take refuge in you. I will seek refuge in the shadow of your wings until danger passes. [2] I call to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me. [3] He reaches down from heaven and saves me, challenging the one who tramples me. Selah God sends his faithful love and truth.

C. I am an Overcomer,
God is With Me

Joshua 1:7-9 CSB
[7] Above all, be strong and very courageous to observe carefully the whole instruction my servant Moses commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right or the left, so that you will have success wherever you go.
[8] This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth; you are to meditate on it day and night so that you may carefully observe everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do.
[9] Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
